WhatsApp Business App launches for iPhone users
WhatsApp Business app launches on Apple’s App Store for iPhone users. According to the WhatsApp blog, this launch comes in response to frequent requests from small business owners who want to use the app on any device of their choice.
Prior to now, WhatsApp business app was only available to Android users but with this launch on Thursday (4th April, 2019), iPhone users in Brazil, Germany, Indonesia, India, Mexico, the U.K. and the U.S. can now download the app from the App Store and in a few weeks, other users worldwide will have access to the app.
Note that the WhatsApp Business is designed to help small businesses to communicate with customers and includes the following features:
Business Profile: allows users to share useful information about their businesses e.g. business description, email or store addresses, and website.
Messaging Tools: allows users to respond to customers easily with messaging tools like quick replies for fast answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs), greeting messages to introduce customers to their businesses and away messages to let customers know when to expect a reply.
WhatsApp Web: allows users to interact with customers directly from their desktops.
Already, the Android version of WhatsApp Business App released in January 2018 has been adopted by millions of businesses around the world.
The WhatsApp Business app for iOS will be free to download from the Apple App Store.
